Prostate Cancer 12 Days to Go

This has been a strange week at the Radiation Oncology Center. Not strange in bad way but rather more along the line of being full of surprises.

Monday is usually see the nurse day and Fuzzy was expecting Ven to be back at the controls of the PU-36. The door to the control room opens and it's Dave. Dave tells Fuzzy that Ven has to be gone for another week and to come on in and climb aboard. After the treatment session Fuzzy goes looking for the nurse. She finds Fuzzy and informs him all of the rooms are full but she can do the weigh in and gather the information about how I am doing on Wednesday just before Fuzzy sees Dr. G..

It's Tuesday and when the door opens it is yet another new face. His name is Jeff and he is Lynn's replacement. Fuzzy follows him through the Control Room into the the PU-36 and there was Kim waiting for him. Kim was a very pleasant surprise and once again the PU-36 responded to her instructions and Fuzzy was once again radiated from the seven angles that Lynn had previously calculated. Fuzzy told Kim that she needed to visit the Fuzzy Mind since now her name was in an article. Kim informed Fuzzy that they had been kidding Mary about being a star of the blogs and they even printed out the articles for her. Well, when you get a copy of this… Hi Mary.

Now it's Wednesday and when the door opens it's Dave. Fuzzy tells him he isn't as cute as yesterday's therapist. Dave tells Fuzzy he has someone cute awaiting him in the Treatment Room. Fuzzy heads through the heavy door and is happily surprised to find Annette. She was happy to see Fuzzy again. After aligning Fuzzy to the machine she and Dave left and put the PU-36 through it's paces. After treatment Annette said she would see Fuzzy tomorrow.

When Fuzzy walked out of the treatment room the nurse was awaiting him, so Fuzzy gathered up JR and followed her into the consultation room. Fuzzy has surprisingly lost a pound, another piece of good news. Now came another surprise. She informed Fuzzy that he had another 12 days to go. Fuzzy must have misunderstood at some point because that was 2 more days than Fuzzy had on his calendar. That is not a big problem. In fact it is no problem at all. Dr. G. goes over Fuzzy's condition, we discuss how the medication is working and that yes Fuzzy truly does have 12 more days to go.
